I have been a fan of Atlanta's lo-fi sweetheart Monica Arrington, who performs under the name Nerdkween, for quite some time now. If you're into the likes of PJ Harvey or Martha Wainwright then you might want to check her out. Her music combines sweetness and grit in a way that is very refreshing. Rumor has it that she's hard at work right now on a new album that will be released on Stickfigure Records sometime this summer.
