I've never been accused of having an overly drab and boring tendency toward music, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. That is why this week, I am picking Auditioning Alice. They have the "indie" sound that combines gritty recording and vocals that might remind you of something new wave-ish. Despite their many attempts to get me to a show, it seems it's not meant to be quite yet. Which ticks me off since I'm intrigued by them.
They're playing this Friday, September 7th, at Lenny's to help out MINT. I love it when musicians give back, so I'm recommending you take your booty to Lenny's to see them and contribute to this cause before you settle in on the couch Saturday morning for college pigskin. Look, the Pendletons, a CoaMA fav, are also playing. You can't go wrong here, folks.

AAAH please play another all ages show. The guy at Door at Lennys is a total ass and wouldn't let me in last time. But I want to see you guys again soooo badly. Come play my BDay party in NOV.
I know the guy you are talking about. He always looks like his sleeping while standing! This show is the pick of the month! Auditioning Alice is Fucking Awesome and i heard that sonen is pretty cool.
I'll try to make the trip from NC. It's worth it to see them play live again. a lot of people have been requesting their new song on WXYC-FM lately. Party Dress is stil my fav though
I saw Sonen at the drunken uni last month. they rocked- looking forward to seeing them again. anyone know the lineup & what time they are playing??
I love Auditioning Alice. I try to make it out to all of their shows. Party Dress is definitely the bomb. I love that song.

As far as I know, Lenny's is 18+. The dance party afterwards is free...the show is $7.
Does anyone have a bootleg copy of AAs live show when they opened for Celebration? i emailed the band but they said they didn't have a copy themselves of that show but there were a few bootlegs circulating. I heard they did some duet inprov song and i've been searching everywhere for it. please let me know.

i was at that show..the one at the earl when they played with celebration. let me know if you find a copy. i have the last show on vhs, the sound quality isn't the greatest but there's some good footage, let me know if you need that. you can aim me at tikijans84

I hope I make it there on time, I get off at 10 but I was told Auditiong Alice is playing third. This will be a fun night.
i saw the sonen show at the drunken unicorn. they were awesome, hasn't their lead singer been in some other band? I know ive seen him somewhere. see u all at the show.
